this application you have total control over your processor, and you can define the
processor usage of each application in your system, you can define what application will
use more or less processor time, and you can give 100 percent of the processor available
to a unique application running. Very important: when manipulating the CPU usage, be very
careful to ensure that an application using maximun processor usage does not consume all
of the available CPU time. An application using the maximun processor usage can interfere
with the normal operation of the operating system. Using the maximun may cause disk caches
to not flush, hang the mouse, and so on. |

Rain
sends instructions to your CPU to make it run at a much cooler temperature.
Rain uses advanced instructions found in Intel, Cyrix, AMD and IDT CPUs that makes them
run much cooler, without any loss in stability. This can prolong the life of your CPU, and
prevent your system from overheating.
Rain works by sending HLT commands that place certain parts of the CPU into suspend mode. |
